As Academy of Art University Athletics enters its third year as an NCAA member—the only art school in the NCAA—the university is sponsoring its annual ART U Golf Classic at The Course at Wente Vineyards. The October 24 event is a benefit for the Wellness and Athletics Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that assists Academy athletes with educational expenses, equipment, uniforms and other needs.

There are a variety of ways to participate, sponsor and support Academy Athletics; see Resources below.

This year’s Golf Classic takes place at The Course at Wente Vineyards, the Bay Area’s premier golf course, designed in 1998 by golfing great Greg Norman. This 18-hole championship course is a picturesque 7181-yard, par-72 course tucked away in the scenic Livermore Valley. With three distinct topographies, native woodlands, mature vineyards and rolling hills of natural grasslands, The Course at Wente Vineyards offers extraordinary visual panoramas and a diversity of play unmatched in the area.

Even transportation has been anticipated: The school is offering a complimentary round trip bus from downtown San Francisco with an option to return to the city on a 5:30 or 8 p.m. bus.

Don’t miss this opportunity to support ART U athletes and enjoy playing a spectacular course with your friends and associates.
