Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Degree

It is the objective of the School of Landscape Architecture to provide students the sustainable practices, design methodologies, technical skills, research techniques, and sense of purpose necessary to become contributing and environmentally responsible leaders of professional design communities around the world. Taught by eminent practitioners, students will graduate with a professional quality portfolio that, in addition to highlighting their design expertise and problem solving abilities, will also include a full set of construction documents. From the very outset of their career, graduates of this program will combine their considerable knowledge of natural systems and historical precedent with their problem solving abilities and aesthetic sensitivity to create vital and positive additions to the outdoor world in which we all live.

Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Degree

The MFA degree provides advanced study for students pursuing a career in landscape architecture. Studio courses focus on the techniques necessary to develop and master technical skills. Graduate Liberal Arts courses promote the expression of ideas and effective communication utilizing visual, oral, and written presentation skills. The graduate Landscape Architecture program culminates with an independent final project. Students will graduate from the program equipped with a portfolio of work and prepared for professional opportunities in the field of landscape architecture.

Associate of Arts (AA) Degree

The Associate of Arts Landscape Architecture degree provides students with an introduction to this field of study in art and design with a firm foundation of the concepts and problem-solving skills. Once earned, the Associates degree can also be used as a stepping stone to the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
