What is the Spring Pre-College Art Experience?

  • A nine-week intensive program offers up to two classes either 1 online and 1 onsite in San Francisco or 2 online. 
  • Get a glimpse into university life, meet other young artists, and explore a variety of art and design fields
  • All onsite classes are held on Saturdays from 12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Students must be currently enrolled in high school at the time of the program

Note: Students staying in campus housing must take four on-campus classes (only available in summer). Additional fees apply.



  • Students must be currently enrolled in High School. High School seniors graduating in 2016 are not eligible for the Summer 2016 Pre-College Art Experience program but are welcome to apply to undergraduate programs.
  • While international High School students cannot take onsite classes, we welcome them to participate in our online Pre-College Art Experience.

April 16, 2016 Final Exhibition**
*Mandatory for all new onsite students
**Online students may submit artwork to PreAdmissions@academyart.edu to be showcased on our Pre-College Blog: PCAEDAILY.COM
