International House at 860 Sutter
The International House (or I*House) is a co-ed residence hall at 860 Sutter. The residence
hall is housed in a turn-of-the-century six-story building. The building is open to domestic
students who are open to sharing with and learning about students from a diverse array of cultures
and countries. Programmed activities are geared toward the exploration of international cultures,
customs, and traditions. Acceptance in the International House is granted based on a Letter of
Intent.
Private rooms and shared rooms are available, and rooms offer either private bathrooms or shared
bathrooms. The residence hall has computers available for student use. The Buzz Lab offers tutoring
in English writing and speaking with private instructors. The Academy Resource Center (ARC) and
invited guest speakers conduct periodic workshops in subjects such as time management, stress
reduction, budgeting, memory techniques, student/teacher communication, health and wellness, and
more. Residents also enjoy the pool and foosball tables, video game equipment, big screen
televisions, and cable television programming.

The residence hall has a large dining room where most special events are held. All International
House students are required to purchase a meal plan. Meals are offered three times per day, Monday
through Friday, with brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday.
