How to Apply for CalGrants

You may be eligible to receive up to $9,708 per year in CAL Grant funds that do not have to be
repaid. Cal Grant awards are state funded grants awarded to eligible students to help pay for
college expenses. The awards do not have to be paid back.

To apply for the 2008/09 California State Grant
click
here or on the link below and print a copy of the Cal Grant GPA verification Form. Complete the
top portion of the form and take it directly to your high school counselor for them to certify your
GPA and electronically submit your application to the California Student Aid Commission. In
addition, you must
complete the 2008/09 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) between 01/01/2008
and 03/02/2008 at
www.fafsa.ed.gov or call one of our financial
aid specialists to assist you at 1-866-537-8693.
As a reminder, if you are a California resident you need to apply for the California State Grant
by March 2, 2008 to be considered for a CAL grant for the Fall 2008/Spring 2009 award year.
To apply for the Cal Grant you must complete a Cal Grant GPA verification form and a 2008/2009
FAFSA between 1-1-08 and 3-2-08 (do not apply before 01-01-2008).
