Degree Breakdown

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education (BFA) Degree

Students enrolled in the BFA program will complete 120 units, consisting of four sections:

Undergraduate Program Learning Outcome

Major Core 51 units
Major By Advisement 6 units
Minor 18 units
Liberal Arts 45 units
TOTAL 120 units

Students must earn a total of 120 semester units with an overall cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.0 in order to receive their degree. A Petition to Graduate form must be filed by students with the Student Services Office prior to their last semester if they are to be eligible for graduation at the end of that semester. Students should contact their Student Advisor for detailed information regarding the petition period and deadlines.

The Master of Arts in Art Education (MA) Degrees

MA in Art Education, 39 Graduate Credits
MA in Art Education with Studio Emphasis, 63 Graduate Credits
