Kevin Moore’s powerful desire to become an artist first began as a child in Africa where he was constantly creating his own images by drawing. Further inspired by his successful uncle Chuck Forsman and additional artists Marilyn Minter and Gerhard Richter, Moore graduated from Academy of Art University and is now nationally renowned for his stunning approach to contemporary realism. In his current work, Moore focuses on his fascination for low-resolution images widely available on the internet, generating dynamic representations of images ranging from basketball to Vermeer. Now an Academy of Art University faculty member, represented exclusively by Hespe Gallery in San Francisco, California, Moore had his fifth solo exhibit in February 2009. Moore has also been profiled in American Art Collector, ARTnews, and Southwest Art.
