Inspired by the vast archive of architectural imagery collected during his travels, India native Siddharth Parasnis portrays the hidden beauty of everyday life through architectural abstractions in his internationally collected paintings. Parasnis graduated with his BFA from Directorate of Art in Bombay, India, where he proceeded to exhibit his work to great acclaim. Moving to San Francisco, California, to attend Academy of Art University, Parasnis earned his MFA and is now an instructor for the School of Fine Art. Influenced by the artistic legacy of the Bay Area Figurative School and the New York School of the 1950’s and 60’s, Parasnis entices his viewers to look afresh at their daily surroundings. Parasnis is represented by Chroma Gallery in Savannah, Georgia; Sue Greenwood Fine Art in Laguna Beach, California; HANG ART, in San Francisco, California; and Phoenix Gallery in Park City, Utah. Parasnis’ artwork has also been featured in exhibits at Coos Art Museum in Coos Bay, Oregon; Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, California; and the Art Museum of Los Gatos in Los Gatos, California.
