David Tirado’s paintings are influenced by natural phenomena that challenge our existence and connection within ourselves and with others. His goal is to create a presence in his work by using line, texture and color to help encourage a bold and engaging aesthetic. Tirado’s painting process deals with being true to the moment while painting. He takes into account his materials and environment to help spark inspiration, which ultimately influences his emotional experience. This experience enhances his visual aesthetic and challenges him to stay in the present and connected with his creative process. Tirado received his MFA from Academy of Art University in 2009 and his BA from San Francisco State University in Fine Art in 1996. Tirado’s work has been represented in domestic as well as international exhibitions and galleries such as Pommernhus Gallery, Pierson Gallery, Fullerton Museum, IBY Fine Arts & Antiques Gallery; Academy of Art University-Abstract Show.
