Kevin M. Wueste grew up in a creative household with a painting mother, so it was natural to find him at his desk in his room drawing daily and creating imaginative works on discarded copier machine paper. Wueste took a 25 year detour as a software executive before beginning his art education in earnest, enrolling at Academy of Art University in 2007 under the tutelage of Henry Yan, Tomutsu Takeshima and Ruben Deanda. He has studied with Tony Ryder, Jacob Collins, Camie Davis, Robert Liberace, Travis Schlaht, Tae Park, Glen Orbik and many of the excellent instructors at Academy of Art University and the Grand Central Academy. He is eternally grateful for the doors they have opened for him. Wueste was awarded the Best Body of Work Award for Fine Art at the Academy in 2011 and will be featured in the 2012 “Strokes of Genius IV” drawing book. He has shown at the Garden Gallery in Half Moon Bay, California and Healdsburg Center for the Arts in Healdsburg, California. His works are owned by collectors in the U.S. and abroad. He instructs figure drawing and still life courses at Academy of Art University.
