Jessica Slaymaker is a Bay Area transplant. Hailing from Eagle River, Alaska, she came to San Francisco to attend Academy of Art University. After being invited to show in numerous Spring Shows and winning an award in Abstract Art, she embraced her true calling as a contemporary artist. Her epoxy resin pours are heavily influenced by the basics of color theory and the more culture specific definitions of color meanings. Through the universal language of color, Slaymaker hopes to create harmonious compositions that invoke a meditative spell in each viewer.
