Jon Tocchini is an artist born and raised in San Francisco, California. He received his BFA through the School of Fine Art at Academy of Art University. From childhood, Tocchini loved to draw. Early on, he participated in art classes at the DeYoung Museum and Fort Mason Art Center in San Francisco. Later, for two consecutive summers, Tocchini was awarded scholarships from Academy of Art University where he attended summer classes in art fundamentals and figure drawing. He continued his education at City College of San Francisco where he received mentoring and began working in the professional field of illustration. Tocchini favors a realist approach to his work and is inspired and influenced by such artists as Gerome and Bouguereau. His most recent achievement is his inclusion in the 57th Stockton Art League Exhibition at the Haggin Museum. Tocchini lives in San Francisco and works from his studio in the Parkside District.
