Abigail VanCannon was born in Davenport, Iowa in 1985. She received her BFA from Iowa State University, becoming proficient in oil painting and metalsmithing. In 2005, she journeyed to Rome, Italy, to study in the traditions of Renaissance Masters. The city’s sights and sounds influenced her love of art and history. VanCannon lives in Sacramento, California, with her husband and blue-heeler, daily working in her Midtown studio at 2110 Art Complex.
