The John Singer Sargent Apartments at 1900 Jackson are housed in a modern building located in the clean, quiet, and beautiful Pacific Heights neighborhood; this community is for graduate students only. The building is located near Lafayette Park, a perfect place for jogging, relaxing, picnics, sketching, drawing, or taking photographs. Well known celebrities like Danielle Steele and former First Lady of the Philippines Imelda Marcos own homes and live nearby the apartments.

Programs and activities are geared towards the graduate student community. The apartments have fully functional kitchens. Students are responsible for bringing their own pots, pans, and dishes.
