Teacher Grant

Program Description:
The Teacher Grant program provides High School and Community College art and design teachers
with the opportunity to refresh or expand their skills. Participants are provided with a full
tuition scholarship for any regular undergraduate course offered at the Academy of Art University
during the Summer semester.

Eligibility:
The Teacher Grant program is open to all interested secondary school and community college
teachers. Previous Teacher Grant participants are encouraged to apply. A copy of a teaching
certificate and a letter from a secondary school or community college verifying employment as a
teacher are required.
Teacher Grant Awards:
The Teacher Grant provides a full tuition scholarship for 3 or 6 course units during the Summer
semester at the Academy of Art University. Grant recipients are responsible for all other costs and
fees including the application fee, registration fee, lab fees, cost of supplies, transportation,
room, board, and any other expenses.
Housing:
Summer housing is available in the Academy of Art University housing facilities, located in
downtown San Francisco (a separate Housing Application is required). For information on how to

You may call 800-544-2787 to speak with the Admissions Office; a representative will
assist you with the completion of your application and answer any questions about the Academy. Upon
receipt of the completed application, an Admissions Representative will contact you about the
selection of classes and other details about enrolling for the Summer semester. You may also
