Marlene Farrell
Director of Interior Architecture & Design
Marlene Farrell, ASID, IIDA, CID is the Director of the Interior Architecture and Design
Department. Ms. Farrell comes to us with 30 years of experience working in both commercial and
residential designs. Her commitment to the field of Interior Design and higher education is
exemplified through her achievements in leadership and professional expertise. Ms. Farrell has been
a part of the Academy’s professional faculty for the past twelve years and she has also dedicated
her time to serving as the president for the International Design Association, including an
additional three years on their national board of directors.
Currently, Ms. Farrell is the principal at Farrell Design Associates working with a range of
clientele from AT&T, Brown & Caldwell International, Kaiser Permanente as well as
residential projects throughout California, Arizona, and Hawaii. She has also worked with
Clocktower Design Group, Meredith Design Group, and is the founder of Art Odyssey.
It is clear that Ms. Farrell’s range of experience and depth of knowledge in the field will be a
marvelous addition to the leadership of the School of Interior Architecture and Design.
