Academy of Art University Fashion Students Win CFDA Scholarships
Academy of Art University’s School of Fashion is proud to announce that three Academy of Art
University students have been granted scholarships from the Council of Fashion Designers of
America.
Ghazalaeh M. Khalifeh has won the prestigious $25,000 Geoffrey Beene Design Scholarship.
Yun-Chieh Chang won a $10,000 scholarship, while Jaedoo Shim was selected to receive the $10,000
Clara Hancox Scholarship Award. Ashleigh Tucker received an honorable mention for the CFDA
Scholarship.
Designers of America, Inc. (CFDA) is a not-for-profit trade association of over 300 of
America’s foremost fashion and accessory designers. The organization is committed to supporting the
development of the American fashion industry’s future designers. The CFDA’s Educational Initiatives
provide support and resources for students at the high school, collegiate and post-graduate levels.
