Academy of Art University Hosts Advertising Diversity Job Fair

The next great talent in advertising lined up in the Academy’s 79 Gallery to show their portfolios to representatives from some of the hottest agencies in the country.  Academy of Art University teamed up with Adrants, Bay Area Interactive Group and Business Development Institute (BDI) to produce the Second Annual Advertising and Marketing Industry Diversity Job Fair.

The purpose of the fair is to recruit the best and brightest minority advertising students and job seekers to meet and greet top agencies and marketing firms. Steve Etzler, the founder of BDI noted that there had been about 300 attendees throughout the day.


Mr. Etzler praised the Academy’s 79 Gallery, commenting that there was no other place like it. He thought it was a unique and inspirational venue to hold a job fair. The Academy, with its renowned School of Advertising, is the perfect place for advertising students to attain the dream jobs.

"Academy of Art University is a very strong brand in advertising," said Mr. Etzler. "They are a major player in the San Francisco community."

The job fair is gaining renown in the advertising world and students and recruiters alike are already looking forward to next year’s event.
