Nicoletta Camerin Services Top Clients with Her Custom Designed Italian Furniture
Academy alum Nicoletta Camerin has opened one of the most unique, most beautiful furniture
showrooms in San Francisco: an impressive task within a city which is known for high-end
design. What Nicoletta offers at her showroom is truly difficult to find – creative custom
designs which are by her own family’s manufacturing company based in Italy. It is a
combination of innovative modern furniture design and traditional craftsmanship any discerning eye
can appreciate. No wonder that Nicoletta’s business is thriving!
Nicoletta knew that she wanted to work with and expand her family’s furniture business in
Italy, and she came to the Academy of Art University to receive the professional training she
needed to succeed in her entrepreneurial endeavors. Nicoletta was so impressed with the
education she received that now she looks to hire only Academy graduates as she expands her
business.
Currently Janken Kaneko, a graduate of the Academy’s graphic design program, is working for
Nicoletta in her showroom.

the knowledge and experience that I find almost unbeatable and that put right at the top” says
Nicoletta.
She remembers instructor Francesco Zito, who was a defining part of her education at the
Academy. Nicoletta sums up the Academy experience well: “Know what you are doing and do

Nicoletta’s business is called Camerin USA; it offers catalog collections as well as custom
furniture designs.
