Political Cartoonist Michel Kichka to Guest Lecture

How to Fix the NASA Space Program

The Academy of Art University and the School of Illustration is excited to invite you to a free guest lecture by noted political cartoonist Michel Kichka. The event will be held on February 8th at Bradley Hall from 4pm to 6pm.

A native Belgian and the son of Holocaust survivors, Kichka emigrated to Israel in 1974 and has been a freelance illustrator of editorial and political cartoons, comic strips, children's books, and advertising.

Currently, he serves as a senior lecturer of illustration and comic art at the Bezalel Academy's Visual Communications Department. Kichka has staged solo exhibitions in Israel and overseas and participated in numerous group exhibitions and cartoon festivals all over the world. Kichka has published cartoons in: Le Courrier International; Le Monde; L'Arche; TV5; Channel 2 Israel; Yedioth; CWS; and the New York Times Web site.

Michel is a member of the Israeli Association of Cartoonists and the European FECO. His expertise is in Western European comics, political cartoons, and humor.
