Two Scholarships Awarded to Academy Students by Society of Illustrators
Academy of Art University's School of Illustration is reveling over
the results of the Society of Illustration's 2008 Student Scholarship Competition. Out of the
nine
Academy of Art University Illustration students that made it to the final round, two walked
away with extremely prestigious awards.
Ben Jelter won the $1,500 Norma and Alvin Pimsler Award for his piece
Dots. The work will also be featured on the 2009 Call of
Entries Poster.
Ryan Jones won the $1,000 John Klammer Award for his piece
The Dragons of Blue Land. He was also bestowed with paid
tuition and board to The Masters Class taught by Greg Manchess and Dan DosSantos in Amherst, Ma
over the summer.
Academy of Art University congratulates both Ben, Ryan and all of the Academy Society of
Illustrator finalists!
