Academy Reopens Sutter Street Theatre

Academy of Art University is reopening the Sutter Street Theatre in the historic landmark, Julia Morgan-designed Clara Stephens Building at 620 Sutter Street in San Francisco. Two plays directed by Clark Lewis are being presented: Holy Days and I Hate Hamlet. Students from the Academy’s School of Acting star alongside stellar guest actors in both plays. Holy Days is open now and continues through November 18. I Hate Hamlet, the tale of a TV star playing Hamlet on Broadway, features Equity Special Guest Artist Karen Grassle and runs until December 16. Tickets for Holy Days are free to all. Tickets for I Hate Hamlet are free to Academy of Art University students, $10 for non-AAU students, and $20 for general admission. All tickets are available at the door or by ordering online.
