Guiding students in preparing for professional futures on camera as actors and actress, Academy of Art University has launched the School of Acting, with courses available for this Summer Semester.
Students will have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including sound stages, voiceover rooms, performance space with full lighting board and more. Led by Executive Director of Acting, Diane Baker, the School of Acting will offer accredited Associates (AA), Bachelors (BFA) and Masters (MFA) degrees programs, as well as continuing art education and pre-college scholarship programs.
Ms. Baker, a noted actress herself, has appeared in movies and television shows such as The Diary of Anne Frank, The Silence of the Lambs, Marnie, ER and many others. She has also become a respected producer. Among her credits as producer are Ashiana, Never Never Land and A Woman of Substance, which received an Emmy Award nomination.
Speaking of programs at Academy of Art University’s School of Acting, Ms. Baker said, “Our perspective is simple. Work hard, learn your craft and build relationships."
