The Winner of the Share Your Eye for Style Contest is . . .
The winner of Academy of Art University’s Share Your Eye for Style Contest is Felicia Britton, who entered her daughter Sabretta’s inventive work. Felicia and Sabretta will receive tickets for VIP seating at the debut of the School of Fashion’s Spring 2011 Collections.
Felicia’s winning entry was:
“Hey, my daughter Sabretta is so creative and talented, her dream is to become a fashion designer, right now she's attending another art school and is looking to transfer hopefully to Academy of Art University. She has been creating since she was 16. She’s 18 now and has only been in school since June I hope she can win the tickets this would be an overwhelming experience for her. Fashion is her love. This shoe was created suddenly with what she had at home.”
With a passionate desire to succeed in the world of fashion, Sabretta believes it takes hard work and inspiration to pursue your dreams. She is excited to attend New York Fashion Week because she enjoys seeing the creative visions of designers brought to life.
“I love everything about fashion,” Sabretta said. “I love the different styles. I also love how fashion can define the person that you are inside and out.”
Sabretta hopes to transfer soon to Academy of Art University. “I fell in love with the school when I came to visit,” she said.
