Academy of Art University Students Continue to Triumph at the Comic Book Challenge

Breaking news from San Diego: Academy of Art University Students Kevin Buckley and Marcus “Parcus” Thiele’s comic has made it into the Top 10 of the Comic Book Challenge! On July 26, Kevin pitched The Strange and Many Eyes of Dr. LeFaux to a prestigious panel of judges and impressed them with Marcus’ stunning illustrations and his intriguing writing. Out of the 50 pitches, the judges picked the Top 10 Finalists whose fate now lies in the hands of online voters.

The Comic Book Challenge, co-sponsored by Platinum Studios, is a way for up-and-coming writers and artists to have their work published. Platinum Studios picks 50 entries and gives the artists a stipend to travel to San Diego to pitch their ideas.

The public can watch each pitch and vote for their favorite until August 12 when the Top Three Finalists will be announced. Academy of Art University wishes Kevin and Marcus the best of luck!
