Professional Opportunities

As an Acting student, you will begin your professional career on day one. Starting with first semester class exercises, you will begin building your vocal instrument and acting technique. Then, you will learn to put it all together for performances on stage or on camera as you advance through the program.

Throughout your student career, you will gain valuable professional experience both on the set and on-camera. You will also develop your professional network as you learn from top industry professionals and connect with your peers.

Collaboration plays a key role in acting. In the School of Acting, you will learn to collaborate on stage and on set. You will have unique opportunities to collaborate, acting in professional-quality productions and in films produced by Motion Pictures & Television students.

Epidemic Film Festival – Each year, Academy of Art University celebrates the innovative films of students at the Epidemic Film Festival. At an exclusive awards ceremony attended by industry professionals, students screen their films.

The event offers students the opportunity to network with and get feedback from respected professionals. Guest lists in past years have included director Robert Butler, producer Steven McGlothen, actress Tippi Hedren and many others.
