Tom Matano, Executive Director of the School of Industrial Design at Academy of Art University, is an honorary judge at the 2015 Hillsborough Concourse. Mr. Matano is an industry veteran who held design positions at Mazda, General Motors, and BMW for nearly three decades prior to joining the Academy.

David Goodwine is an Animation & Visual Effects graduate of Academy of Art University. He has been in the entertainment industry for 18+ years, including 14 years in games. David has worked for companies such as Double Fusion, Eidos / Crystal Dynamics, Electronic Arts, and PDI/Dreamworks.

A native of California, Katie Valkuchak received her BA in Art History from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 2003, and her BFA in Interior Architecture and Design from Academy of Art University in 2006.

Prospective Military & Veteran Students

If you are serving in the US Armed Forces (Active Duty, Reserves, or National Guard) or a veteran of the US Armed Forces (with other than dishonorable discharge) your Academy of Art University application fee will be waived.
