Academy of Art University School of Illustration graduate Justin Greenwood has a hit on his hands—and he’s ready to follow up. Greenwood is the artist of Stumptown, a graphic novel series set in Portland, OR. Stumptown is also now a show on ABC, for which he’s an executive producer.

Jana Sue Memel is an Academy Award-winning producer and writer. Ms. Memel has produced over 25 movies and over 65 half-hour, live-action shorts that have played as television series in more than 30 countries. She has produced films that won Writers Guild and Directors Guild Awards, Emmys, CableACE Awards and the Humanitas Prize.

Carolyn Meyer launched her career as an art director for Gardner Communications Inc., an advertising agency in San Francisco, and was one of the founding principals of Paris Printing, a large-size printing company in Northern California. Her works are on display at local galleries—including ArtHaus, William Lester Gallery, and Hang Gallery—and in galleries across the United States.

The School of Advertising takes Academy of Art University’s “real-world” approach to education seriously. Boot Camp, a competition organized by The One Club, is one way students learn to address actual client issues. Over four days in October, more than 50 Advertising students organized in 11 teams participated in the sixth annual Boot Camp competition.
