Leanne Rodriguez once owned a hamster names Ozzy who died from dehydration because she was too young and irresponsible to remember to refill his water tube. As she held his lifeless little body in her hands, she realized the meaning of art. Since her tender years as a hamster-murdering child, she has been creatively expressing herself through a multitude of lustrous mediums. Today, she continues to produce bold and glittery mixed media artworks out of her Berkeley home and has consistently displayed her art at numerous galleries and venues in the bay area [Modern Eden, PAK Gallery, Gallery 28, Sub Mission and 941 Geary to name a few].
