Due to the popularity and increasing demand for our graduate school programs and the
opportunity to earn an art education degree, we have a variety of tours to meet your needs for MFA

degrees, who already have a 4-year college degree.

Announcement: Academy of Art University is proud to announce that it now offers a
Master of Arts degree in Multimedia Communications!
The Master of Arts degree in Multimedia Communications teaches students to write, edit, shoot,
produce, and broadcast multi-platform content for all types of media, from Internet to radio.
Students become specialists in a specific area and learn how to broadcast and distribute their
content.
The program consists of cutting-edge curriculum in short form and is taught by pioneers in
media production. The multimedia communications program trains students for the rapidly changing
new media market, enabling students to create professional demo reels.
Graduate students with previous experience can complete the graduate art degree in one year.
Graduate students without a multimedia background may complete the graduate art degree in a year
and a half.
Master of Fine Arts Degree
The Master of Fine Arts is comprised of the following components:

Depending on the student’s program of study, students enrolled in the Master of Fine Arts
program will earn a total of 63 - 102 semester units of graduate course work. Students must receive
an overall cumulative grade-point average of at least 2.0 in order to receive their art degree.
Please note that unit requirements vary depending on the art degree program selected. Students
should speak to a Student Advisor for information on the requirements for a specific program.
Students are also required to have a final review. A Petition to Graduate form must be filed by
students prior to their last semester if they are eligible for graduation at the end of that
semester. Students should contact their Student Advisor for detailed information regarding the
petition period and deadlines.
Master of Arts Degree (Multimedia Communications only)
