Develop your skills as a cartoonist or animator at one of the country’s top cartoon schools. Whether your passion lies with becoming an animation artist or comics are what you prefer, the Academy of Art University’s comic school and its professional instructors will help you bring your ideas to life. We offer opportunities that you won’t find at other comics schools or cartoon schools including graphic novel courses and a unique directed study program for our MFA students. The cartoon school is housed in an old, uniquely 'San Francisco' style building that was originally a men's club, offering the perfect environment for creativity.
