AAU Presents: Lend Me A Tenor
Lend Me A Tenor is an uproarious comedy by award winning playwright KEN LUDWIG. It’s 1934, and the world’s greatest tenor Tito Merelli has come to Cleveland, Ohio, to save its Grand Opera Company by singing Otello. When he is unexpectedly incapacitated, Max, the Opera Director’s meek assistant, is given the daunting task of finding a last-minute replacement.Chaos ensues – including a scheming soprano, a tenor-struck ingénue, a jealous wife and the Cleveland Police department in an unpredictable explosion of mistaken identities and unexpected romance.

AAU Presents: Seminar
SEMINAR is a provocative comedy from Pulitzer Prize nominee THERESA REBECK. Four aspiring young novelists get the schooling of their lives when they sign up for private writing classes with Leonard, an international literary figure and indiscriminately relentless teacher, who believes he wrote the book on what makes an author great. Under his recklessly brilliant and unorthodox instruction, some thrive and others flounder, alliances are made and broken, sex is used as a weapon and hearts are unmoored. The wordplay is not the only thing that turns vicious as innocence collides with experience in this biting comedy.
