Fine Artist Anthony Woodruff Exhibits Throughout Bay Area
When Anthony Woodruff came to the Academy to get professional training as a fine artist, he found
instructors here who gave him even more than what he was looking for.
“I learned so much from both Craig Nelson and Carolyn Meyer…Craig really taught me how to put
the paint down on the canvas,” says Anthony.
Today, Anthony has truly followed in the footsteps of his mentors, becoming a sought-after
Bay Area artist himself.
Anthony has exhibited his work at many major exhibitions in the Bay Area, including the Home
and Garden shows of Contra Costa, the Brentwood Art and Wine Festival, and the Oakley Almonds
Festival. His work has caught the eye of many private collectors; not only has he sold many
of his pieces, he is also busy with commissioned paintings. Currently he has two major
commissions: a large 160 by 50 inch abstract for a private client, and a series of paintings for a
Discovery Bay home.
Anthony will be very busy for the first quarter of 2008, and it looks like he will stay that
way! We are very proud to count this Bay Area artist as one of our very own.
