Cana was born in Queens, NYC. Inspired by Japanese samurais, castles and nature, Klebanoff’s work communicates the idea of comfort combined with pride, or ‘wearing your crown’ with head held up high. Klebanoff interned for Joseph Domingo (2011-2014) and participated Joe’s Blackbook 2016, menswear portion.
Carlos was born in Mexico City, Mexico and grew up in Clarksburg, CA. For this collection, he uses a mixture of hand and machine embroidery techniques to create a contemporary feel on a traditional technique. His embroidery skills shine here in this collection. Recently, Mr. Olguin interned at tech-fashion start-up Savitude.
Dina Marie was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and holds a BS in Accounting from USC. Inspired by the myriad emotions surrounding her aunt’s recent passing, Ms. Lam wanted to convey a feeling of transition. She was also inspired by those who demand the best in fabric, function, and form. “The collection is simply for the dope girls,” says Lam.
Joanna was born in Chicago and raised in Orange County, CA. She holds an AA in women’s wear from The Fashion Institute. For this collection, Jadallah was inspired by the strength of her ancestors, who were born and raised in Palestine and were forced to leave everything behind. This line captures the beauty of her culture and her family.

Eden Slezin, MFA Fashion Design, was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and holds a BS in botany from UC Davis. Inspired by his “life and loves,” this line is a nod to reinvention and a celebration of eternal youth. From his schoolboy uniforms and the denim he wore as boy, to his Marine Corps service and his commitment to personal individuality, this collection communicates a life lived with passion.
Hailun was born and raised in Qing Dao, China, and graduated from Nantong University in 2014. In this collection, Ms. Zhou was inspired by a field trip she took from San Francisco to the Oakland Museum as part of her creative concept class. The experience sparked an unstoppable passion for fashion, and a drive to create new things.
Jelly was born and raised in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Fashion Design and Engineering from Zhejiang Sci-Tech University. This collection is inspired by the sense of peace and joy she experienced in her recent trip to northwestern China. The religious environment, including the temples, clothing, and prayer rituals she observed there were especially interesting.
Saya was born and raised in Beijing, China. She holds a Fashion Design degree from Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, 2013. For this collection, Ms. Shen was inspired by the many landscapes she has photographed—specifically the snow forms of Hokkaido and the topography of San Francisco.
Ryan was born and raised in Shenyang, Liaoning, China. He holds a BA from Tsinghua University. For this collection, Mr. Yu expresses his ideas on light, and how light will lead us from darkness. He’s also passionate about construction and the combination of leathers and woven fabrics.
