One of the greatest obstacles I had to overcome while pursuing my artistic dream was realizing how much depth there is in the arts and to acknowledge that I had, and still have, so much to learn. I began my journey thinking I was more talented than I was. It took endless hours of painting, class critiques, and guidance from my instructors to understand my ability and to accept that there is always more to learn. To be an artist is to be present and to know that we are all a work in progress.
