Academy of Art University Earns 2021-22 Military Friendly® School Designation
San Francisco, CA, April 14, 2021 – Academy of Art University is proud to receive its Military Friendly® School designation for 2021-2022.
Institutions who earned the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over 1,200 schools participated in the 2021-2022 survey with 747 earning the designation.
In recognition of the noble men and women who served and continue to serve our country, the university provides opportunities to pursue creative entrepreneurship that will benefit them and their families.
With the mission of encouraging and inspiring transitioning service members to become future artists and designers, Academy of Art supports members of the military and veteran community by providing Military Tuition Assistance and Veterans GI Bill® benefits.
The Academy’s Military Scholarship program benefits U.S. service members, whether on Active Duty or Reserve, or in the National Guard or Coast Guard. Its open-admission policy allows servicemen to transition into the art and design field without worrying about their lack of prior art experience or existing body work.
Further assistance is provided through the Veterans Resource Center, which offers a facility for their exclusive use. It also allows them to meet and network with fellow creatives who share the same background.
