Note: Classes for Summer 2024 begin Monday, June 17, 2024. If you're unable to complete the admissions application process by Saturday, June 22, 2024, please consider applying for the next term.














  • Upon receipt of complete application, the Academy will send notification of acceptance and an I-20 that enables you an F-1 student visa.
  • Transfer students must meet with an International Student Advisor within the first 15 days of classes to recieve a transfer I-20.
  • All International transfer students must complete the same application requirements as new international students.

It is the student's responsibility to request all transcripts. I hereby digitally authorize the above institutions, at which I attended, to release an official copy of my academic transcript(s) to Academy of Art University. I also acknowledge that the transcript being requested will be evaluated in terms of meeting the admissions transcript requirement and not for transfer credit. It is my responsibility to request transcripts from other institutions where academic credit may be transferable. In the event that an institution does not acknowledge my electronic signature on this release form, I am aware that it will be my responsibility to follow up with the institution and obtain the transcript needed to meet the admissions requirement.

Thank you for completing your Academy of Art University online application. Your payment cannot be processed online. To submit your application and payment, please contact intladmissions@academyart.edu.

Select a payment amount then submit your application form and payment. These fees are non-refundable.





With gratitude and respect to the men and women in the military, if you are a veteran or are serving in the US Armed Forces in active duty or as a reservist, your Academy of Art University application fee will be waived.

You must be active or reserve during the semester for which you are applying or be a veteran in order for the fee to be waived. If you get called back to active duty during the middle of the semester or if you’re active now and you are re-deployed, you may be eligible for a full refund of your tuition and fees paid during the semester. Academy of Art University is VA approved.

You will be required to provide verification of your military status. Shortly after submitting the application, an email will be sent to your email address with instructions.
