Margaret Keelan is an artist and an educator. Most recently, she has had a successful solo show at the Gail Severn Gallery, Idaho, called “Myth and Memory”, and participated in the prestigious, NCECA sponsored show, “Ecumine: Global Interface in American Ceramics”. Other exhibitions that have showcased her work have been in Seattle, St. Louis, Santa Fe, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. Images of her distinctive figurative ceramic sculptures have appeared in all the major ceramic publications such as New Ceramics, Ceramics; Art and Perception, Ceramics Monthly, and in books such as Confrontational Ceramics (Judy Schwartz) and Ceramics and the Human Figure (Edith Garcia). She is currently the Associate Director of the School of Fine Art Sculpture and a Ceramics instructor at Academy of Art University.
