Academy of Art has always been consistent in providing real-world experiences to their students to further enhance their learning. In this video, that opportunity is presented to students of the School of Industrial Design as they collaborate with General Motors.
Tasked with designing a GM car for the year 2025, Industrial Design students worked and collaborated with other departments such as Web New Media, Fashion, and Graphic Design to shape the future of automobile.
“You get a chance to meet industry professionals, and you also get a chance to show them what you’re capable of. [They] want to push the boundaries of what’s expected, and you get to shape it and make it your own,” described student Mitchell Galik of his experience.
“It’s exciting for me because I’m educating the people who are designing the future,” said School Director Antonio Borja.
