John Woodbridge

John Woodbridge
Director of Computer Arts: New Media

"New Media is the ideal choice of major for creative, comprehensive, practical career choices in digital art and design including print, imaging, web, motion graphics, video and audio."

Mr. Woodbridge began his career as a musician and studied acting at the American Conservatory Theater and the Oregon Shakespearean Festival. He was hired out of the University of Oregon by a nationally touring Shakespeare company. After eight years as an actor, composer, and sound, scenic and lighting designer, he studied graphic design at the Academy of Art College. For the past 16 years, Mr. Woodbridge has operated his own design and production studio, working for major advertising and design firms. His clients include Bank of America, Pacific Bell, PG&E, Wells Fargo Bank, Levi's, Hewlett-Packard, Visa International and Citibank.

  Bob Rigel
Assistant Director, Computer Arts New Media

After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Education and Fine Arts, Mr. Rigel began his career first as a teacher and then as a fine artist selling his drawings, lithographs and serigraphs to Colorado galleries. An early adopter of the Macintosh computer, he began his own freelance illustration and graphic design business which he moved from Washington state to the Bay Area in 1998. Mr. Rigel's fine art and graphic design have received national and regional awards.
