Learn the unique process of 2D and 3D design and construction of footwear and accessories. Develop machine and hand sewing leather techniques, 3D construction methods, concept development, and original fabrication. You’ll learn the techniques and definable elements needed to develop a professional portfolio that demonstrates a clear aptitude for footwear and accessory design and construction.



What We Teach

Learn the complete process of shoe making. You will apply a design process—including concept research, sketching, range building, and specification sheets—to design your own footwear constructions. Once you’ve mastered the design process, you will bring your designs to life, producing 3 different footwear constructions. Various aspects of the shoe industry, including handmade footwear, product development and testing, specification and technical sheets, and trade shows will also be taught.

Footwear & Accessory Design Degrees

This program focuses on footwear and accessories from 2D design and conceptualization to 3D product development. It is an in-depth study of the unique language, materials used, design process and technical skills necessary to make fully functioning product.
