School of Photography
As a Photography student, you will begin your professional career on day one. Starting with first semester class assignments, you will create imagery based on concept and hone the techniques necessary to showcase your personal vision.

Annual Spring Show – Every year, the top student work on display at Academy of Art University's Spring Show attracts creative professionals from around the country. The Annual Spring Show is a unique opportunity for photography school students to meet one-on-one with top photographers and professionals in the industry and have their portfolios reviewed.
Career & Entrepreneurial Services – Students prepare for entry into the professional workforce by taking advantage of the Career & Entrepreneurial Development department's onsite and online workshops. See more.

In addition, online office hours and career service chats offer opportunities for students to get individual career counseling, advice on resume and interview expectations, portfolio tips, hiring standards, industry trends and networking techniques.
All registered students, graduates, and alumni have access to the daily updated job board, where companies post internships, freelance, full time and part time positions.
Industry Relationships & Events – Throughout each semester, the School of Photography participates in industry events and brings respected professionals in the photography industry to campus. Students benefit from lectures and artist presentations by top photographers.
