Interested in sketching? Enjoy being outdoors? Academy of Art University is sponsoring an art class event where you can learn basic skills by sketching outside in nature.

In this 2-hour “sketching on location” class held on the circular stage at Yerba Buena Gardens, Fine Art Director/Instructor Craig Nelson will demonstrate how to compose and select the scene, how to begin, and basic tips and technical approaches to sketching.

An Art Kit with an assortment of drawing pencils and pad from General Pencil Company can be purchased for $25.00 with registration and will be available to pick up the day of the event, or you can bring your own supplies.
