3D Printing Pens: Explore the Exciting World of Jewelry and Accessories

About this course

Discover the creative possibilities of wearable art in this Summer Intensive workshop for high school students with the Academy of Art University. This unique course offers a creative introduction to contemporary jewelry and accessory design using 3D printing pens and PLA filament. No prior 3D printing experience is required. Students will design and create their own wearable pieces such as necklaces, rings, and earrings while learning how to build forms directly in space with a 3D pen. In addition, students will experiment with using the 3D printing pen to create stone settings and to form sculptural elements inspired by electric forming. At the end of the workshop, students will share their finished wearable pieces, offering an opportunity to reflect on their process and celebrate their creative achievements with the school community.
