Sketching for Game Art 2

This course builds upon what was learned in Sketching for Game Art. It teaches students the fundamentals of designing fun and unique characters in a variety of styles.

Introduction to Game Programming

Students learn the basic concepts of programming by creating an iterative project that incorporates logic, functions, loops, and different types of data.

Playing Games in Game Development

Play an array of important game genres both from the tabletop and electronic gaming platforms. Platformers, shooters, deck builders, resource management, action points, combat styles, and more topics are covered. Students will record their gameplay and incorporate commentary and reflections on the overall experience and specific reactions to the game(s).

Game Studio – Game Design (Fall)

The Collaborative Project class models the workflows, pipelines, and interdisciplinary environment of a professional game development studio.
